About
Paula Maggs lives in Melbourne and has been an artist for over twenty years. She uses colour and expressive mark making to realize her emotive, poetic style.
Maggs is a keen observer of the human condition as exhibited by ordinary people living their lives, and this is where she finds inspiration.
Maggs's process is to work on multiple paintings at once, utilizing the paint colours across all canvases at the same time. Being responsive to her environment, since moving to Melbourne she has completed a body of work on urban landscapes, and most recently her series 'Domestic Bliss' , about life in lockdown due to Covid.
Paula has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions, and her work is in private collections both in Australia and overseas.
